Olympus: Ariadne

First of all, id like to apologise for my months-long absence. i just went through final exams and i really didnt have time to make anything worth posting. Even though i havnt been on DA for long some of u have been really supportive even though i am not the greatest artist in the world

i used this piece to try a new colouring technique, by adding a gradient background with colored pencil and doing the rest with watercolor. it actually turned out quite nicely (for my standards, anyways) but as usual my scanner ate my colors and u can barely see the background at al ull need to believe me that it looks better in real life maybe i need to learn to touch up colors on the computer idk

Anyways, this is a greek mythological character called Ariadne. She helped the hero Theseus kill the minatoar but she married the greek wine god Dionysus after Theseus abandoned her on a island (what an asshole ) i was thinking of maybe drawing more greek mythological figures, or maybe even drawing a doujinshi of some myths to help me improve my drawings and develop a more consistent style.
